Starrag at Southern: engineering precisely what you value

There are many reasons why visitors to the Southern Manufacturing Show (7-9 February 2023) should make a beeline for the Starrag UK stand.

These are not only to learn about the company’s latest cost-effective Heckert horizontal machining centres, but also how Starrag’s ‘Engineering precisely what you value’ slogan helps companies of every size achieve significant bottom-line rewards with machines from Starrag’s product ranges of Berthiez, Bumotec, Dörries, Droop+Rein, Ecospeed, Heckert, Scharmann, SIP and Starrag.

The portfolio includes the lower cost Heckert H65 compact machining centre that adds a new dimension to heavy-duty 4-axis machining with an impressive specification and high performance for a machine of its class.

Occupying just 24m², the H65 offers machining speeds up to 30% faster than comparable models and can increase output levels by a staggering 80%.

With X-, Y- and Z-axes of 850mm x 1,020mm x 1,000mm and 630mm by 500mm twin pallets each able to accommodate loads of 1.5 tonnes, the machine features traverse rates up to 80m/minute and a standard spindle speed of up to 10,000rpm from its 60kW/450Nm hollow shaft HSK-A100 spindle – a torque rating that will push carbide tooling to the limit on hard metals.

Starrag UK’s director for sales and applications Lee Scott commented: “Aerospace, medical and luxury goods are core industries for Starrag machines – but so, too, are energy, transport and industrial components. Visitors to Southern Manufacturing from all these sectors will be surprised – and pleased – at how affordable and available many Starrag machines are.”
