Leuze electronic's next free of charge 'Introduction to Machine Safety' training workshop will be held on 31st January 2012.

Leuze electronic's next free of charge ‘Introduction to Machine Safety' training workshop will be held on Tuesday 31st January 2012 at the offices of the HMK Direct in Congleton, East Cheshire. Thanks to the support of HMK this is the first time these popular half-day training workshops have been held in the North West.

Kevin Ellison the presenter and technical support engineer at Leuze electronic commented: “We have had a wide variety of people travel to our previous workshops at our office in St Neots, including people from as far away as Cornwall and Aberdeen. The majority however have been from companies close to our office and so I am looking forward to meeting new people by taking ‘the show on the road' so to speak.”

HMK Direct as a Siemens Technology Partner for Safety, has a wealth of experience in automation and works with Leuze electronic to offer in depth knowledge of machine safety legislation, issues and solutions.

Leuze electronics' managing director, Mark Weymouth added: “The machine safety market is confused by some consultants who over complicate the issues and create fear, and some suppliers who treat machine safety as a commodity product. These sessions are designed to show an alternative approach with Leuze offering high performance products that are easy to install and use, combined with the expertise of an automation expert like HMK Direct to support customers on their applications.”

Topics covered during the workshops will include: IS EN 13849, CE and power requirements; current and forthcoming legislation; standards and their implications; machine safety inspection; and safety components.
Free tools and resources will be provided by Leuze electronic.
