Top up the tonnage

Now offering machines up to 640 tons, LVD has expanded its PPEC series of mid-range precision hydraulic pressbrakes. The higher tonnage models provide heavier forming

capacity to suit a broad range of applications and make the PPEC series one of the most comprehensive lines of mid-level pressbrakes with machines from 35 tons in bend lengths up to 6,100mm.

PPEC pressbrakes combine a rugged, simple design and easy-to-use features in a value minded machine. All models are equipped with LVD's CADMAN Lite control. Based on the same user friendly platform as the fully featured CADMAN Touch control, the Lite variant offers a number of the same key features, including 2D graphic programming, automatic calculation of bending solution with collision detection, direct angle or quick bend programming and connection with LVD's CADMAN-B offline programming software.

An Energy Reduction System (ERS) featured on PPEC machines reduces cost of operation by offering energy savings of up to 30% over comparable designs, LVD claims.

PPEC models up to 320 tons feature a rugged, welded one piece frame machined without repositioning guaranteeing machine precision. Hydraulic cylinders are machined from a solid steel billet and pistons are precision ground, micro-polished steel forgings.

Microprocessor technology is linked to servo-controlled hydraulics and electronics to ensure complete control of the bending process. Double bed referenced encoders are connected to the bed in such a way that deformation of the side frames during bending does not influence the positioning accuracy of 0.01mm of the upper beam (Y1-Y2).

New higher capacity PPEC models from 320 tons to 640 tons offer a 2-axis (X, R) or 4-axis back gauge (X, R, Z1, Z2), two gauging fingers with 100mm width, as well as a choice of vertical load, LVD classic or Euro style tooling.
