A spokesperson for the company commented: “We decided to award the agency to Whitehouse Machine Tools partly due to the high level of service it is able to provide customers.
“The agent also has a strong applications engineering capability, which is important to us. The gear skiving process on Toyoda machining centres, for instance, is a good example of a technology that requires a high level of engineering support.”
Tim Whitehouse, managing director of Whitehouse Machine Tools, Kenilworth added: “The Toyoda range includes machining centres with pallet sizes up to 1,600mm and extensive automation options, which sits neatly alongside our Japanese-built Brother 30-taper turret machines and mid-capacity machining centres from Spinner, Germany and Averex, Taiwan.”
