With a continual flow of traffic to the Floyd Automatic Tooling stand at MACH 2010, managing director Richard Floyd was naturally delighted with the exhibition. “At MACH we aimed to show the industry an array of new solutions that could deliver productivity and set-up time improvements plus a host of additional benefits. We met our objectives, as current customers discovered new solutions whilst the lead generation and new customer uptake at the show proved very positive.”

Floyd demonstrated its ability to supply a wide and specialised range of tooling for sliding head turning centres, and at MACH stand visitors discovered developments like the new F40 collet and sleeve kits. Alongside, were the three position guide bush system from Habegger that is said to significantly reduce material waste and costs whilst improving machining tolerances.

Mr Floyd continued: “We had a high number of new products shown in the UK for the first time. The diversity of our new innovations proved attractive for sliding head, general turning and small part manufacturers. New products that were very well received at the show included the Hommel & Keller roll marking tools for component marking, the Zeus Cut-Line program of knurling tools and the new generation of CUT-Line parting off tools.

“MACH was an opportunity for our principal suppliers to meet UK customers and discuss their requirements. We were delighted to have François Champion and Vincent Schaller visit from Applitec, Sigmund Grim from Hommel & Keller, Hans Kasper and Rolf Elmer from Mikron Tool and Michele Pfeiffer from Schaublin.”
