Working partnerships: Mazak and Truturn

A good example of machine tool manufacturer and end user working productively together. In this video, Bob Wilkins, general manager at Truturn Precision Engineering talks about how the company has evolved throughout its 31 year history from being a supplier of machining services to its local engineering community to the full 'Concept to Conclusion' precision manufacturer it is today.

Truturn offers a wide range of services including; milling, turning, fabrication and electro-mechanical services to a multitude of demanding industries - yet no one sector accounts for more than 20% of its business.

It enjoys a strong working relationship with Mazak: Truturn has purchased an Integrex J300 multi-tasking machine and a Quickturn Nexus M250 but the partnership goes much deeper than that. According to Mr Wilkins, Mazak engineers have worked closely with the staff at Truturn offering support, training and advice on how to really get the best out of the machines. Knowing what the equipment is really capable of has enhanced productivity significantly.
