Mazak is reinforcing its presence in Portugal with the creation of a new direct sales channel.

The new sales operation, based in Portugal's second largest city, Porto, is intended to support and enhance the work of Mazak’s current distributor, Normil, and will become operational on 4th May 2020.

The creation of a new direct channel will build on the work of Normil in the Portuguese market and strengthen the service offered to local Mazak users, both in terms of new machines and aftersales support.

Armando Gonçalves, who has more than 17 years’ experience in the machine tool industry, will lead the new direct sales operation.

Kevin Jackson, general manager – national distributor sales department for Yamazaki Mazak, commented: “We believe there is a real opportunity in the Portuguese market to further support Normil and build on their outstanding work. Our intention is to work closely with them to strengthen our offering in the territory and get closer to Mazak users in Portugal.”

André Seara, general manager – Normil, commented: “Since 1986, Normil has been dedicated to promoting the Mazak brand in Portugal, always with great dedication and commitment. In order to strengthen the work done since then, I believe that this new closer partnership will benefit Normil's presence in Portugal. Together Success.”
