Central to Citizen’s 2016 open house taking place from 11-13 October will be the first UK demonstration of a key breakthrough in machining technology that is not only able to increase cutting performance, but also create gains through improved and controlled chip flow, extended tool life and help maintain better levels of surface finish.
It's called LFV or Low Frequency Vibration and at the open house the technology will be demonstrated on Citizen's latest L20-VIII sliding head mill/turn machine. This video illustrates the core principles.
