3D Measurement Company announces 3D metrology distribution partnership

The 3D Measurement Company (T3DMC) has announced a new partnership with Norwegian manufacturer Metronor for the distribution of its portable 3D metrology equipment in the UK.

This will include Trackscan; a laser scanning based range, and the Solo and Duo portable CMM systems. T3DMC will be the largest UK distributor for all three ranges of equipment as part of its growing 3D scanning product portfolio.

Trackscan uses the same laser-based 3D scanning technology as the HScan and Prince scanners already supplied by T3DMC with the added benefit of a sophisticated but simple to use navigation camera, enabling sticker free, large volume, highly accurate and fast scanning performance.

The Solo and Duo products are portable CMM systems, based on Metronor's patented principle, which allows accurate 3D measurement with one or two cameras and a handheld probe. The systems provide a portable and easy to use CMM which is wireless and highly accurate. The Solo is able to scan up to 20m measurement volume. The equipment is modular making it simple to upgrade to two cameras to provide an even larger volume without compromising on accuracy or speed.

Adam Stanley, managing director of The 3D Measurement Company commented: "This agreement with Metronor is an exciting next step in our growth, recognising an increased demand for more portable products. The addition of the Metronor range of equipment is complementary to the other products we sell, providing an extra dimension to the services we offer.”
