A blade for all reasons

Amada high quality carbide tipped bandsaw blades, recently introduced by Birkett Cutmaster, are providing high cutting efficiencies, enhanced accuracy and longer blade life.

Amada high quality carbide tipped bandsaw blades, recently introduced by Birkett Cutmaster, are providing higher cutting efficiencies, greater accuracy and 50% more blade life than a variety of competitive equivalents, the company claims.

High quality blades are often more expensive to buy, but in the long term, are capable of achieving significant cost savings through greater flexibility, shorter cutting times, longer life expectancy and quality of cut.

They can cut consistently at optimum levels and can be used for cutting a wide range of metals, eliminating the need to change blades between batches. Users can also expect these blades to provide peace of mind and customer satisfaction through product quality, reliability and speedier deliveries.

According to Birkett Cutmaster, when using the new Amada Axela ‘G' and ‘H' series blades on bandsaws which are carbide compatible, the user can expect to make considerable savings, particularly when cutting a wide range of hard and difficult to cut materials.

Axela G-series blades are available to cut stainless steel, tool steel and cold or hot die steel, whilst Axela H-series blades are more suited to non-ferrous metals such as titanium, titanium alloys, aluminium and aluminium alloys. A range of blades is available to cut small, medium and large bars and sections in thicknesses up to 400mm. No break-in cutting is necessary.

As a result of their kerf dispersing tooth shape, the G series blades effectively reduce the cutting resistance of high alloy steel and through a tooth tip micro-chamfer, achieve high cutting rates and reduced tooth chipping. Band widths of 41mm, 54mm, 67mm and 80mm are currently available.

For customers requiring assistance in selecting the most appropriate blade for optimum, cost-effective performance, Cutmaster's engineers are on hand to provide specialist assistance. The company supplies a wide range of products, from basic, inexpensive, economy M31 blades for the routine cutting of standard materials, to M71 blades for hardened tool steels and complex alloy steels.
