Offering the ability to manufacture a variety of tools up to 16mm (5/8 inch) diameter, this next generation CNC grinder is specifically designed to meet the demanding needs of tool production facilities seeking maximum output, whilst retaining the flexibility to react quickly to customer needs. Providing the best of both worlds, the MX7 offers users high output for production houses, rapid changeovers to accommodate smaller batch sizes and enhanced flexibility, including a ten second wheel and tool changeover capability to help support Lean manufacturing principles. The MX7's permanent magnet spindle produces superior performance across the entire spindle working range, and can operate to a maximum of 10,000rpm with a spindle power rating of 20kW/27Hp (S1). Due to a lower current draw, less heat is generated and therefore less expansion takes place. The MX7 also boasts higher torque at lower rpm characteristics, and is thus particularly suited to efficient carbide grinding. Also on display will be Anca's CIMulator3D V6. Previous users of the software will be familiar with the many features offered on the latest release, such as tool measurement, cross sectional viewing of tools, wheel collision detection and complete machine model simulation.
The new version of CIMulator3D however, has been upgraded with several advanced new features that will further improve the efficiency, flexibility and overall performance of the grinding simulation process, including the capability to export simulated tools in STEP formats AP203, AP214 and IGES, allowing customers to export directly from CIMulator3D easily into other CAD packages.
