Andrew Sawyer has been appointed business development director at Coventry Engineering.

Mr Sawyer has been actively involved with the aerospace and defence markets for more than 20 years working in technical sales for first tier suppliers of motion control and anti-vibration products.

Starting his career as an apprentice precision engineer whilst studying at Loughborough College he had the opportunity to develop skills in manufacturing, production control, quality and design, understanding all aspects of the manufacturing process.

Mr Sawyer’s objective was always to move into technical sales and had the opportunity to join a global aerospace and defence business working as its aerospace sales manager.

“I’ve held a number of business development roles with large and small businesses alike in the aerospace and defence sectors and I’m looking forward to putting my experience to good use with Coventry Engineering,” he enthused.

“Moving forwards, my main objective is to help the team increase its market penetration though developing new products – taking our tooling solutions further into key markets.”
