The company, which employs 120 people across its machining and composites divisions, has successfully achieved the required accreditation level for Rev C approval, which effectively guarantees that the firm will be able to work with its aerospace customers for another three years. AS9100 Rev C certifies that the company's management system operates in compliance to external standards for the aerospace industry.
Managing director Gordon Mussett said: ‘We are delighted with our recent approval. The accreditation shows that quality systems are in place to meet the strict requirements of aerospace customers and that our quality systems are regularly audited and amended.
“The processes in place to achieve this standard were more stringent than for previous accreditations, but we believe that gaining this certification and proving that we can provide a risk-free option for businesses in the supply chain will stand us in good stead over the coming years.
“We have more than 30 years' experience with aerospace clients,” he continued, “but we recognise the importance of keeping up to date with industry specifications to ensure that we remain a top-tier supplier for years to come.”
Today, Mussett Aerospace operates from a well-equipped machine shop with more than 50 CNC machining centres and a 10,000ft² purpose-built composites factory.
