With the Engineering Technology Group (ETG) recently being announced as the exclusive UK & Ireland distribution partner for DNE Global, the company has added high-quality cost-effective fibre laser cutting to its armoury of products and services.

To underpin the growth of this new brand, the Wellesbourne company has now employed Shane Langston as product manager to drive this new division into the marketplace, an engineer with over 20 years of working in the sheetmetal industry sector.

Mr Langston started his career as an apprentice at Amada UK, spending considerable time in various departments and roles within the business, gaining an intimate knowledge of every facet of the sheetmetal industry. After seven years as a service engineer, he moved to a UK sales & marketing management role with LVD, and more recently gaining further experience as a software solutions manager for a leading sheetmetal software brand.

Commenting on the recent appointment, ETG group managing director, Martin Doyle said: “We have wanted to enter the laser cutting market segment for some time as we see huge potential with the right technology partner. Now we have achieved that objective, we needed to employ the right team – and with Shane we have started that building process.

“His background gives him the perfect blend of technical knowledge from his years of service support experience; he has built upon this with an extremely successful career in sales, marketing and leadership – all in the sheetmetal sector. Both Shane and the ETG team are excited to embark upon this new venture.”
