Yamazaki Mazak is to offer customers the chance to ‘Experience More' at its latest Open House event being held at the Mazak European Technology Centre in Worcester.

The event will run from 16-19 November 2010 in the UK – supplemented by several European events during November and early December – and will include displays of the Mazatrol Matrix and Mazatrol Smart CNC systems, factory management software products and presentations.

Experience More will showcase the complete Mazak range under one roof, including the UK debut of the latest products in the Smart range, namely the Vertical Centre Smart and Quick Turn Smart, which is now equipped with powered tools (QT Smart 200-M). Both machines, which are manufactured in Worcester, feature Mazatrol Smart controls to ensure rapid programming and set-up capabilities, which in turn increases operational efficiency and productivity.

Also on display will be the VTC-800 vertical machining centres, which are also designed and built in the UK and capable of utilisation across a wide range of sectors, particularly subcontract manufacturing. The machine offers simple 3-axis vertical machining or full simultaneous 5-axis machining depending on manufacturer needs and optional configurations.

Finally, Experience More will feature the Integrex j-200 multitasking machine, recently given its world exhibition premiere at MACH 2010, which incorporates easy programming and fast set-up for a wide variety of parts and components.

Tony Saunders, Yamazaki Mazak's sales director, commented: “Experience More is designed to give visitors the knowledge of how innovative technology can help drive operational efficiencies through manufacturing processes, which in turn can help UK manufacturers compete on the world stage, win more business and drive turnover and profits.”

He continued: “Experience More is a hands-on event showcasing the clearly demonstrable productivity benefits available. For example, guests will be able to get up close to the machines and challenge Mazak operators to programme, set-up and machine a specific product against the clock.”
