The system uses Hexagon’s compact qFlash Blue Light Scanner to rapidly carry out non-contact 3D part measurements. In addition to being operator-friendly, Fanuc collaborative robots save floor space and integration time by eliminating the requirement for fencing. This collaborative robot solution provides real-time, in-process metrology data using minimal floor space near the manufacturing process. The real time data allows for quick process adjustments, thereby reducing waste and increasing production throughput. Fanuc’s CR Series collaborative robots offer fast set up and easy programming via the robot’s Hand Guidance Tool and lead through teach programming.

Using Hexagon’s Coreview 3D Measurement Suite, this fenceless metrology solution provides the customer with in-process dimensional feedback, resulting in greater production efficiencies, reduced cost and small system footprint.
