Faro Technologies is celebrating its success at the Advanced Engineering UK exhibition, recently held at the NEC, Birmingham.

At the exhibition Faro staff were demonstrating how the company’s range of portable 3D measurement equipment can save time and improve companies’ quality. Faro exhibited a range of new metrology products, including the Faro Laser ScanArm, with the lightest laser line probe for non-contact measurements and the Faro Laser Tracker for large volume measurements.

A relatively new addition to the Faro range, the Cobalt Array Imager is a metrology-grade non-contact scanner which utilises blue light technology to capture millions of high resolution 3D coordinate measurements in seconds. The smart sensor allows unique multi-imager array configurations enabling industrial manufacturers to significantly improve productivity and operations.

Faro’s recent acquisition of LPT has enhanced the company’s portfolio of 3D measurement solutions. LPT's laser projection solutions, proprietary imaging laser photogrammetry and imaging laser radar technologies have established a high class of high-speed laser measurement with advanced 3D imaging capabilities.

In addition, the new Faro TracerM laser projector, intended for laser-guided assembly and production, was also demonstrated. Eliminating physical templates, the new product allows operators to quickly and accurately position components with absolute confidence.
