GrindingHub launches digital platform

A new live, digital GrindingHub platform – 360° Special – has been unveiled by trade fair organiser VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association), in cooperation with the IndustryArena business network. This will be an annual event, complementing the physical exhibition which takes place every two years.

On 23rd May 2023, companies will have the opportunity to pitch their new product innovations and technologies to an international online audience and network with potential customers. The event will be presided over by an expert moderator and will also include presentations on topical subjects.

Dr Wilfried Schäfer, VDW’s executive director commented: “2022 saw the successful launch of GrindingHub in Stuttgart as a new event for the grinding technology sector – but from the very beginning, it was conceived as a hybrid event that incorporates both physical and virtual formats. Our aim here is to offer exhibitors and visitors genuine added value."

Last year’s ‘GrindingHub digital’ demonstrated the effectiveness of the concept with 28 companies tuning in to a variety of web sessions, video clips and forum contributions. Indeed, more than 50% of the 9,500 visitors took advantage of these opportunities.

From small and medium-sized companies to global players, the digital services at GrindingHub provide a valuable resource to all exhibitors. Ariane Wahrmann, head of marketing at German start-up Spanflug Technologies GmbH from Rattenkirchen affirmed: “As a newcomer to GrindingHub 2022, the digital offering was a very useful addition to our presence at the show. For our digital solutions for automated quoting, the web sessions are a great format to present innovative concepts and generate additional leads.”

Interested companies can register now for 360° Special but the number of pitches is limited. Application forms, conditions of participation, further information as well as the videos from the previous digital events are available at the link below.
