The breakfast meeting, held at Hexagon's Telford head office, was attended by 70 delegates who were able to watch six innovative product displays and listen to a series of informative talks.
Organised in conjunction with Made in the Midlands, an association for manufacturing firms in the region, the event also gave visitors an opportunity to showcase their companies and highlight areas for collaboration during a 60 second pitch session.
Attendees were impressed with the capabilities of Hexagon's new white light automated measuring cell which showed how better quality control can drive productivity. Its fast data collection means any adjustments in part production can be made instantly on the shopfloor.
Other equipment on display included a Romer Absolute portable measuring arm, Aicon 3D measuring system, Global and Evo co-ordinate measuring machines and Leica laser trackers.
Presentations were also made on Vero software solutions, Hexagon's special products group as well as aftermarket services and training courses.
"We were delighted to welcome a wide range of manufacturers to the event and the feedback received from delegates was extremely positive," commented Brett Green, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence's UK general manager.
Hexagon products will be on show next at Subcon which runs from June 6-8 at Birmingham's NEC.
