Hinkley C gets the green light
There aren't many subjects that invoke as much passion as nuclear power but in my opinion we desperately need to find viable way of powering
the country into the future and I believe that alongside investment in renewables and carbon capture, nuclear needs to feature prominently in the mix.
Planning permission has been granted by Energy Secretary Ed Davey for EDF to get the wheels in motion. It's estimated that the £145 billion project will create between 20,000 and 25,000 jobs - but build time is estimated to be around 10 years.
But have we got the skilled people to do the job?
