Wide-ranging measurement

Hoffmann Group is bringing a new cost-effective CNC-controlled contour measuring instrument with a 190mm scanning range to market.

Unveiled at EMO 2017, the Garant CM1 comes complete with a PC and an exclusive software package. Both the X- and Z-axes can be programmed and controlled via CNC and as an option, the system is available with a CNC-controlled Y-table resulting in a large measuring area for scanning workpieces.

The CM1 and its accompanying software are designed to be user-friendly. Optional additional functions allow the user to conveniently input and read out data and compare DXF information with measured values. The top and bottom contours of a component can be recorded in a single measurement process with the aid of the integral ‘TopDown’ functionality and dual probe tips.

The instrument stands steady on a solid granite base and delivers reliable results with its robust and visually incremental measuring system.
