Jaguar Land Rover has reported that its US sales reached 9,490 units in September, a 5% increase year on year.

The Land Rover brand achieved its best ever September sales, with the all-new Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover sport leading the sales boost, as well as the Jaguar F-Pace.

For the calendar year, JLR has achieved 89,071, an increase of 3% compared to 86,309 in 2018.

Jaguar sales were 2,002 units for the month, 2% lower than a year ago. The Jaguar F-Pace continued to lead the brand’s sales performance with 1,021 units sold, up 13% from September 2018. The Jaguar E-Pace and XE sold 319 and 218 units respectively.

The Land Rover brand sold 7,488 units in September, an increase of 7% from 6,966 units in September 2018. The new Range Rover Evoque is up 69% with 1,069 units sold. The Range Rover Sport continues to be the brand’s sales leader with 2,288 units sold, an increase of 22% compared to 1,878 units last year.

JLR last week revealed new facilities at its Gaydon site in Warwickshire, which are now thought to be the UK’s largest automotive creation and development centre.

The Gaydon site is home to 13,000 highly-skilled engineers and designers that are dedicated to creating current and next generation vehicles for JLR.
