Stepping up from his position as UK sales director, Martin Hawkins has been appointed as deputy managing director of Bowers Group from the 1st March 2021.

Working closely alongside current managing director Steve White, Mr Hawkins will begin a transitional period before Mr White steps down from his full-time duties in May 2021 to pursue a consultancy/advisory role within the business.

Martin Hawkins joined Bowers Group in 2016 as UK sales manager before being promoted to UK sales director in 2019. His industry experience and product knowledge is vast: he started his career as a mechanical engineering apprentice, prior to moving into production and then into sales. More recently, Mr Hawkins has operated in senior roles in the engineering sector with companies such as Perceptron and Hexagon Metrology.

Steve White, managing director at Bowers Group said: “I am delighted to see Martin to step up to this challenging, yet extremely rewarding role. During his time with Bowers Group, he has demonstrated impressive leadership skills, alongside his wealth of experience within the engineering sector, and his in-depth knowledge of our product range.

“I have every confidence that Martin will thrive in his new role and both myself and the group as a whole wish him every success in his new position.”

Commenting, Mr Hawkins said: “I’m pleased that I have been appointed to this strategically important role. I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues and leading the Bowers Group into the next stage of growth and development.”
