Matsuura to unveil new 5-axis machine at exclusive event

Matsuura Machinery has announced the debut of the MAM72-52V, a high-speed, large capacity 5-axis vertical machining centre which will be unveiled at a series of exclusive ticket-only events at the company’s showroom in Leicestershire during September.

Taking place on 7th, 8th, 9th, 14th, 15th, and 16th September, visitors will be able to see this new addition to the MAM72 range for the first time on UK shores. To keep the event safe and secure, there are only a limited number of tickets per session, which will run at various time slots throughout the day.

At the event, Matsuura will also be demonstrating a recent addition to its range of lathes; the Muratec MD-60. In the additive manufacturing centre, visitors can also take a deep dive into the world of 3D printing with the entire range of HP Multi-Jet Fusion 3D printers and DyeMansion 3D finishing systems

Designed from the ground up and based upon 30+ years of multi-pallet automation innovation, the Matsuura MAM72-52V is a ‘factory in one machine’ that enables variable-part/variable-volume production and extended unmanned operation. The machine is equipped with 130 tools on a 330 tool magazine base, proven tower pallet system (PC15) for extended lights out manufacturing and chip removal system as standard.

This high-speed, large-capacity 5-axis vertical machining centre delivers Matsuura’s 5 axis performance and sits in a unique capacity position within the MAM72 product range, bridging the gap between MAM72-35V and MAM72-70V.

In terms of capacity, the MAM72-52V is a next investment step machine for existing MX-520 customers looking to increase their lights out operation, and MAM72-35V customers who require a larger machining envelope.

The MAM72-52V is ergonomically designed to offer end users faster response times to market and deliver high productivity to meet customers’ growing business requirements for ever-faster cycle times, proven unmanned running and dynamic cost down performance.

Domenic Seminerio, national sales manager at Matsuura commented: “It’s great to be hosting our first live event in almost two years and to be showcasing the MAM72-52V is a fantastic opportunity for customers to get an exclusive look at this machine in a COVID-secure environment.”

To book a ticket, customers should contact their local Matsuura area sales manager in the first instance or visit the company’s website for more information.
