New young talent joins the CNC Repair team

Despite the global challenges that many businesses are currently facing, Lincolnshire based CNC Repair (UK) in Bourne is fulfilling the growing demand for its services by expanding its expert engineering team with the appointment of Casey Gilbert.

The engineering company specialises in providing CNC machine servicing and repairs to leading OEM customers especially within the major automotive and Tier 1 supply chain.

21-year-old Mr Gilbert joins the company from Siemens Energy Turbo machinery in Lincoln where he undertook a four-year apprenticeship, having joined Siemens from school aged 16. Having become a maintenance fitter in the Siemen’s factory on completing his apprenticeship, he developed his understanding of CNC machines and now brings to the CNC Repair team some additional up-to-date knowledge around the repair and maintenance of CNC machinery.

Managing director, Anthony Spencer added: “We’re delighted to welcome Casey to the business as both his skills and expertise, coupled with his drive and determination, complement that of our existing Engineering team. We work with global clients to drive certainty in value and performance for critical and highly complex projects and programmes for defence, aerospace & automotive sectors delivering better outcomes for machine tool users and Casey will certainly play his part in helping us continue to do this.”

CNC Repair (UK) is building on the uplift in demand that began during the pandemic and is ongoing. The continued expansion of the maintenance team, with the addition of young talent such as Mr Gilbert, will benefit customers by supporting already speedy response times thus keeping downtime to a minimum and enabling machinery to be serviced and maintained for customers in a planned and timely manner.
