Visitors will get the first glimpse of the FlexPoint system, thought to be the only co-ordinate measurement machine featuring multiple high-accuracy sensors in a VersaFlex cluster head, for precision inspection and data reporting on intricate manufactured parts.
In another UK first, the Fusion, OGP’s most advanced, versatile and capable multi-sensor SmartScope system ever, will be on show, as will the ShapeGrabber Ai620, a metrology-class 3D scanner capable of rapidly assessing complex surfaces with a high density of data points.
Expert tutorials on ZONE3, the a comprehensive metrology software package, alongside machines from OGP’s SNAP, Vantage and CNC ranges will also be in the line-up.
OGP UK sales manager Graham Shaw said: “Our open houses, held at our state-of-the-art demonstration facility near Derby, are always popular events that allow us to interact with delegates in a way we aren’t typically able to.
“With so many technological advancements and UK exclusives on show, this will be one that nobody wants to miss.
“It’s also a chance for customers old and new to bring along their most complex and difficult-to-measure components, so that our experts can not only advise on the best solution but also actually demonstrate that solution in action.
“Our guarantee is that multi-sensor metrology can dramatically improve any production process in any industry.”
Regardless of the size of the manufacturing operation, multi-sensor metrology systems allow businesses to gauge the characteristics of the parts they produce quickly, repeatably and without human error.
Working with real-time, micron-accurate statistics allows operators to identify and remedy any production issues immediately, leading to less scrap and a faster throughput of high-quality, right-first-time products.
