Having just celebrated its 30th birthday, Andover, Hampshire-based Perfect Bore Manufacturing has announced details of a new £1,000,000 investment in its deep hole boring capacity, including the acquisition of a Tibo deep hole boring machine.

The new addition will allow the company to offer shorter lead-times in its large deep hole boring services that are in ever increasing demand. The division specialises in 25mm to 200m diameter, up to 2,500mm in length.

To support its ‘one stop solution’ philosophy, the investment also includes a dedicated honing machine to free up capacity on its CNC and vertical honing machines, and an extension to its facility to accommodate the storage of additional material on site.

Whilst the cornerstones of the company’s expertise is centred around its core activities of gundrilling, deep hole boring, CNC turning and honing, the grinding division has doubled its capacity and is attracting a lot of interest, especially since the company’s involvement in a NATEP project to grind a hard chrome replacement coating.

Perfect Bore continually looks to improve its service and operations. It has just been re-granted Fit for Nuclear (F4N) Status for a further three years.
