A total of 25 live machine and technology demonstrations will take place at the Carfulan Group’s Manufacturing Performance Network (MPN) event next month – and places are filling up fast.

Product launches, software advancements and industry insights will all be on the table between from December 4-6, when the group’s extensive range of complementary manufacturing technologies comes together under one roof.

The centrepiece will be an XJet Carmel 1400 system, which employs NanoParticle Jetting (NPJ) methodology to 3D-print high quality geometrically complex ceramic and metal components quickly and safely.

It will be the first time the machine has been on display in the UK, after XJ3D – the Carfulan Group’s newest company – became the first appointed worldwide partner of Israel-based XJet.

Across OGP UK, Sys Systems, Zoller UK, Vicivision UK and XJ3D, the Derbyshire-based business specialises in multi-sensor metrology, turned part measurement, additive manufacturing and tool presetting and inspection.

The MPN will provide an ideal opportunity to network with leading manufacturers from across the UK. Visitors are urged to challenge the Carfulan Group’s engineers to find solutions to their individual manufacturing predicaments by bringing along their own tools and finished parts for analysis and discussion.

Tuesday, December 4th is already fully subscribed, but places are still available on Wednesday and Thursday, December 5th and 6th.

OGP UK’s multi-sensor metrology systems can gauge the characteristics of even the most complex parts in real time and without human error, leading to improved quality, reduced scrap and allowing products to be brought into the marketplace faster.

At the MPN the company will unveil the FlexPoint, a highly accurate large frame multi-sensor co-ordinate measuring machine, as well as demo its flagship Vantage system, the CNC 200 and 500, Zip Advanced 300, Snap DM 200 and Spark 300, alongside a QC-Calc metrology software station.

3D printing expert Sys Systems, a UK Stratasys platinum partner, has lined up the Connex 500, Objet 30 Pro, Fortus 450 and two machines from the popular F-Series range, as well as the chance to experience the advantages of its ultra-tough Nylon 12 carbon fibre material.

Tool presetting and inspection specialist Zoller UK will launch the new Smile tool presetter with Pilot 1 software, while showing the smileCheck, smileCompact, pomBasic, Venturion and Genius, in addition to electronic tool storage solutions.

Finally, high-performance optical and non-contact turned-part measuring machine supplier Vicivision UK has the M306, M618 and Metrios – a state-of-the-art, automatic 2D digital optical system that performs accurate and objective part-quality tests directly on the shop floor.

The Carfulan Group’s free-to-attend Manufacturing Performance Network takes place at its Innovation Centre in Foston, near Derby.
