Plunge milling machining of a cast iron workpiece
This Seco Tools customer was experiencing vibration issues with machine power limitations. Seco suggested a plunge milling strategy so that cutting forces were directed into the spindle and they could get better performance by increasing machine table and metal-removal rates.
