Productivity in action

MACH 2010 sees the European launch of a number of new product ranges from Allied Maxcut Engineering Company (AMEC).

MACH 2010 sees the European launch of a number of new product ranges from Allied Maxcut Engineering Company (AMEC), with the new GenSYS stainless steel cutting geometry inserts, the BT-A deep drilling system and the new polycrystalline diamond (PCD) range taking centre stage on the company's 90m² stand. Alongside the new tooling and hole cutting solutions, AMEC is also showing products from its entire range including the AccuThread 856 thread milling system, the adjustable indexable carbide Revolution Drill and Core Drill as well as the extensive T-A and Gen2T-A range of high performance inserts and holders. As with previous exhibitions, AMEC will be running live machining demonstrations on the stand with a high speed Haas VF-2 machining centre to provide visitors with an insight into the speed, performance and quality of hole finish that can be achieved with AMEC tools The new Gen3SYS stainless steel geometry, which is being launched at the show not only extends the range of specialised geometries and insert grades available in the range but also increases the flexibility of the Gen3SYS system for users and gives access to the high penetration performance characteristics when used on stainless steels. High performance is also at the heart of the new PCD inserts, developed primarily to meet the demands of the aerospace industry to enable the stack drilling of advanced materials including aluminium alloys, titanium and carbon fibre composites. Also being shown at MACH for the first time in Europe is AMEC's BT-A deep hole drilling solution. Using the T-A and Gen2T-A replaceable insert technology, the BT-A drill holders use industry standard location threads, making them fully compatible and directly interchangeable with boring tubes used on BTA-STS applications with diameter ranges from 12.95mm to 47.8mm outside diameters. The versatile AccuThread 856 thread milling range will also be on the AMEC stand highlighting the performance and precision available from the helically fluted solid carbide thread mills and the replaceable insert ranges, both of which incorporate the advanced AM210 coating for long tool life, durability and repeatability. In addition, static and animated displays of the Gen2T-A range, AMEC's specialised structural steel drilling system and ‘Original T-A' drill inserts system will also be on show, together with the Accu-Port 432 hydraulic port drilling system and the ASC 320 high penetration solid carbide drill range.
