Quickgrind opens new Tech Centre

After years of meticulous planning and construction work, cutting tool manufacturer Quickgrind will open its new Technical Centre of ‘Infinite Possibilities’ at its Tewkesbury headquarters this summer.

The new centre for advanced machining strategies will provide an environment to undertake customer training, demonstrations, technical seminars and events.

The Quickgrind slogan of ‘Infinite Possibilities’ will be a step closer to reality for its customer base with a new facility that demonstrates the products, services and expertise offered by the Gloucestershire manufacturer.

The new Technical Centre will incorporate 3-axis and 5-axis machining capabilities and will also operate as a hub for innovation partners such as Open Mind, CG Tech, Schunk, Tebis, Schunk, Romi, Blaser, Bilz, Roemheld and Quickvend to pool their resources to develop bespoke customer solutions.

Located within the company’s cutting tool manufacturing plant, the new facility incorporates a shopfloor demonstration area, a seminar theatre that can accommodate over 30 people, individual meeting rooms and workstations for CAM strategies and programming.

This allows end users to bring their challenging components and part programs to the new facility where the Quickgrind experts from QuickCAM will provide optimised programming and QuickLAB experts can discuss full process analysis of cutting tool performance. With bespoke tooling solutions manufactured onsite, Quickgrind will offer total solutions to manufacturing challenges.
