Simple software

Aberlink will be demonstrating its Axiom Too CMM at MACH 2010.

UK owned coordinate measuring machine manufacturer,

Featuring Aberlink's intuitive software, the cost-effective range of manual or CNC machines are able to deliver high accuracy results within controlled inspection environments or when situated on the shopfloor. Making its debut at the show will be Aberlink's 3D measurement software. Now available as a retrofit for CMMs and measuring arms, the user friendly software was specifically designed around a graphical interface. Featuring automatic shape recognition, a welcome by-product of Aberlink's 3D inspection routine is that an image of the measured component is created simultaneously on the system's computer screen. Dimensions between the measured features, mirroring those that appear on the component drawing, are then picked off as required. In essence this ‘smart' software package represents an intelligent measuring system that is able to automatically recognise and define the various features being measured. Aberlink 3D is claimed to be simple to use – so much so that a complete novice is usually able to perform relatively involved measurement routines after just five minutes of product training, the company claims.
