Seco Tools (UK) is holding an open house (called @Seco Live) at its new Technology Centre in Alcester on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th April from 9am to 5pm on both days.

The customer-focused event, one of the company's first since it moved to its new, state-of-the-art facility in late 2012, is aimed at precision component manufacturers looking to improve their productivity, performance and profitability. It will aim to provide visitors with an opportunity to bring themselves up to speed with the latest technology developments – not only from Seco, but also from a number of the company's technical partners that are also exhibiting at the open house. Seco's managing director, Richard Jelfs stated: “Manufacturing is tough, and it's getting tougher. Even though many precision manufacturers are doing everything they can to increase their productivity, improve their quality and control their costs to ensure they remain competitive, we know it can be an uphill struggle – especially if they're trying to do everything alone. “Our open house will aim to address this situation and demonstrate what can be achieved if we all pull together, and how we can make things different.” He continued: “The open house will be a truly world class event because as well as being able to find out more about our productivity and performance enhancing manufacturing solutions, visitors will also have access to a number of hand picked, market leading partners – machine tool manufacturers, workholding and cutting fluid specialists, metrology experts and CAD/CAM developers – that will be showcasing their latest developments.
