Testing the limits of Trumpf Laser welding

Break me if you can! In this video, you see Trumpf welding seams tested to the limits, with an aluminum sheet with a thickness of 1 mm. Laser welding seams are generally very strong, although they look as if they were thinner than conventional arc welding seams. With the process deep welding, the laser heats the metal locally at the joint with an intensity that makes the material melt and partially vaporize. As a result, the laser beam can penetrate deep into the material, even with pieces with thick walls, and weld extremely strong connections.
