Top trio

Official UK and Ireland importer, sales distributor and service agent for numerous leading machine tool manufacturers, TDT Technology, will be taking three advanced yet competitively priced CNC machines to this year’s MACH exhibition.

The Kafo BMC-2015 double-column machining centre, Kafo KA-40 vertical machining centre and Feeler FTC-20 CNC lathe will be in the spotlight on TDT’s stand where the company’s knowledgeable team will be available to point out why these machines have the edge over competing models.

The Kafo BMC-2015 fixed-column, moving-table bridge-type machining centre uses linear guideways in the three principal axes (or boxway guides in the Z-axis if preferred), and can be equipped with various types of milling head attachments, including 90°, universal and multi-directional types. Machine suitability extends to many different industries, including mould and die, aerospace and general subcontracting.

For maximum rigidity and minimised thermal displacement, the Kafo BMC-2015 features a very short spindle centreline distance, while shortening the length of the gearbox drive shaft serves to reduce vibration. The BMC-2015 at the show features travels in the X-, Y- and Z-axes of 2,100 x 1,500 x 800mm respectively, although various size capacities are available.

Also showcased at MACH will be the Kafo KA-40 vertical machining centre with optimised C-type structure for extra rigidity. Popular in sectors such as electronics, automotive, rail, aerospace and medical, the three main axes are supported by precision linear guideways.

Available in four different models, the KA-40 at the show offers 1,050 x 520 x 635mm in the X-, Y- and Z-axes, along with rapid feed rates of 36m/minute. Parts weighing up to 500kg can be accommodated.

Elsewhere on the stand, visitors will be able to see the Feeler FTC-20 CNC lathe. With a swing-over bed of 600mm, the FTC-20 is able to turn parts up to 350mm diameter and 613mm in length. An 8-inch or 10-inch hydraulic chuck can be supplied.

Both the Feeler FTC-20 and Kafo BMC-2015 are available at a special discounted price for orders placed at MACH.

TDT Technology will also have a number of other technologies available on the stand, including its range of drill and end-mill sharpening machines, machine guarding solutions for PUWER98 compliance, 4- and 5-axis rotary tables from LCM Precision Technologies, and MillTec magnetic chucks from Tecnomagnete.

Visitors to the stand are invited to bring along components or drawings for an assessment of the optimum machining solutions available. TDT’s expert team of industry specialists will be on hand to discuss requirements.
