Train to gain

The CNC Training Academy, part of Mills CNC, has announced its results for 2010.

In the organisation's first full year of trading, sales turnover topped £58K with over 270 individuals accessing its CNC training courses – either at the Academy's location in Leamington or offsite at customers' premises – during the 12 month period.

“Over 110 companies selected the Academy as its CNC training provider in 2010, and feedback from attendees in terms of quality, comprehensiveness and value has been very positive,” enthused Jeff Hart, CNC training academy manager. “Additionally, initiatives such as allowing customers the ability to spread the cost of their training over a 12 month period, and the introduction of Siemens CNC Programmer training courses proved very attractive to customers.”

He concluded: “We aim to improve our performance in 2011 and have put a number of measures in place to help us do just that such as investment in revamping our facility and new hardware, software and audio visual equipment.
“We are also running, in conjunction with CEME (Centre for Engineering & Manufacturing Excellence), a number of seminars and introductory milling and turning training workshops early in 2011.”
