Treble chance

Matsuura Machinery has announced that it will be hosting extended open houses on the following dates in 2012: April 16-20; April 24-26; and May 1-3.



The events will provide the first opportunity for UK companies to view Matsuura's largest 5-axis machine to date – the MAM72-100H, featuring a horizontally aligned Matsuura 12k BT50 spindle, a load capacity of 1,000mm diameter by 770mm height and maximum component weight of weight of 780kg.

In addition, Matsuura will be exhibiting exclusive heavy-duty machining demonstrations on the MAM72-100H and also on its best selling UK machine models, including:

• MAM72-100H: UK launch of the largest multi-pallet 5-axis machine in the Matsuura range and already installed at a leading UK F1 concern
• MAM72-42V PC5: five pallet, 5-axis machine and currently installed at a number of leading UK aerospace subcontractors.
• MX-520: Matsuura's single table 5-axis machine said to be ideal for those making the transition to 5-axis machining or those seeking a highly accurate standalone solution
• H.Plus-630/Fastems FPC: the company's largest HMC integrated into a Fastems FPC, exhibiting the versatile potential of the 10 machine/96 pallet cell installed at a leading UK aerospace subcontractor
• MAM72-35V: Matsuura's flagship 5-axis machine with 32 pallets and proven unmanned running as standard
• H.Plus-300 PC11: an 11 pallet horizontal and Matsuura's most popular 4-axis machine
• H.Plus-405: a twin pallet HMC

The Coalville, Leicestershire-based company reports that its best trading in 15 years during 2011 was driven by companies investing in higher specification machine tools and in particular, unmanned machining and automation.

A host of supporting companies associated with Matsuura will also be present providing expertise in swarf management, tooling, workholding and software. Breakfast and lunch will be served on all days and prior booking for the 8am-8pm events is recommended.
