MACH 2024: Ward CNC highlights precision and versatility

Visitors to the Vargus Tooling UK stand (Hall 20 Stand 359) will be able to witness live demonstrations on a Hyundai-Wia HD3100YA Y-axis CNC lathe from partner TW Ward CNC Machinery (Ward CNC) during the exhibition.

On the Vargus stand members of the Ward CNC sales and applications team will be on hand to talk to customers about the capabilities of the Hyundai-Wia HD3100YA Y-axis machine during live demonstrations.

This machine is equipped with hardened and ground box guideways, plus a one-piece heavy-duty cast-iron bed construction for high accuracy and rigidity. The machine also features a BMT65P turret, Y-axis, C-axis, driven tooling and 10″ chuck.

With a maximum turning length of 760mm and swing over the bed of 800mm, the machine is equipped with a 12-station automatic tool changer, while its A2-8 spindle nose offers 3,500rpm, plus 5,000rpm live tooling speed, with a FANUC 0IT 15” monitor CNC.

Featuring a range of Vargus cutting tools, the live machining demonstrations will encompass a number of machining techniques, including waved form grooving, Y-axis milling, and C-axis polar milling as well as intricate spline milling with a working gear mill, demonstrating the advanced capabilities of modern machining technology and its potential in manufacturing.
