Cube Precision gains AS9100 accreditation

West Midlands-based Cube Precision Engineering has recently gained AS9100 accreditation for its complete press/mould tool, CNC machining and composite tool manufacturing capabilities.

Established only last year, the company has grown its precision engineering business from 6 to 32 people as a result of winning lucrative MoD contracts and aerospace work.

“We're delighted to receive AS9100 accreditation,” enthuse stated Cube Precision's managing director, Neil Clifton. “AS9100 is a significant differentiator in winning further valuable aerospace business and after winning significant projects on A350 and Boeing 737 I'm convinced it will help our company win further orders in going forward.”

Following completion of its SC21 Manufacturing Excellence Diagnostic, Cube took the decision to go for AS9100 earlier this year. The company's SC21 programme is sponsored by General Dynamics and is on track to achieve bronze award status in the near future.

“AS9100 has meant a cultural change for us on all levels but it demonstrates the commitment to our aerospace customers,” Mr Clifton concluded. “We have full traceability on everything we produce and have successfully empowered all employees to provide the highest levels of workmanship and professionalism.”
