Fastems is strengthening its salesforce with the appointment of Philip Cattaneo as UK sales manager.

Mr Cattaneo joins the company having spent his career within the machine tool and automation industry.

Head of sales, Leigh Tricklebank, commented on his appointment: “Philip was our first and obvious choice to lead such an important country.”

Fastems delivers intelligent factory automation solutions around machine tools and related processes. It is a family-owned business with 40 years of automation experience, over 4,000 installations and main markets in Europe, North-America and Asia.

The company says its mission is to help metalworking manufacturers improve productivity and profitability. Fastems’ main applications are pallet and robotic automation – always equipped with the company’s production planning and execution software, MMS. It also has solutions for automating the production and resource planning of stand-alone machine tools.
