Fastems, a leading supplier of flexible CNC automation solutions has achieved ISO 9001:2015 quality system accreditation.

Effective from the beginning of February, the certification is testament to Fastems’ dedication to quality across the entire business for the benefit of both its customers and employees. Achieving this milestone was made possible by the company’s organisational culture, the development of Fastems’ Quality Management System and the Quality Manual guiding its implementation.

The Fastems Group Quality Manual entitled ‘The Way We Rock - Our Beat’, describes the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) which is compliant with the ISO 9001:2015 standard structure.

The QMS itself comprises Fastems’ process structures, working procedures and practical instructions. The goal of the QMS is to increase efficiency and predictability that lead to customer satisfaction. Throughout the company’s highly technical business, the only way to achieve these goals is to define and standardise the essential customer-value creating operations and agree on how they are being performed collectively.

“The journey of striving towards higher quality at Fastems is as long as the company’s 40+ year history in industrial automation,” explained Pekka Lammassaari, vice-president of project management at Fastems.

“Our culture is to continuously strive to optimise and improve our operations. We believe that in business, things should be simple to use but highly efficient. Fastems continues to make excellent progress in this regard but it’s important not to be complacent. There’s always room for improvement.”
