FFG acquires Italian grinding manufacturers Meccanodora, Morara and Tacchella

The international Fair Friend Group (FFG) has announced the acquisition of the Italian grinding manufacturers Meccanodora, Morara and Tacchella from IMT Spa through its affiliate company Grinding Technology Srl.

The manufacturers of a broad range of grinding machinery have been serving the international industrial markets for almost 100 years. Their portfolios consist of single machines to system solutions, with various technologies from cylindrical and non-cylindrical grinding to multi-tasking equipment for complete machining including turning and milling.

Applications include automotive powertrain, railway axles, energy and aerospace turbines for OEMs and tier suppliers around the world, as well as flexible general engineering machinery.

Dr. Gerald Weber, CEO of FFG Europe & Americas, said: “Meccanodora, Morara and Tacchella have earned a remarkable reputation in the international manufacturing markets. Our customers will profit from even further enhanced turnkey capabilities.”

COO Luigi Maniglio added: “We are going to develop the potential of our new brands by integrating them into our group, fostering innovation and making use of our global sales and service structures.”

With the acquisition of Meccanodora, Morara and Tacchella, FFG is adding grinding technology to its metal cutting portfolio, focusing on machining solutions for rotary parts.
