The laboratory at Q8Oils in Leeds is the Industrial Centre of Excellence for soluble metalworking fluids throughout the Kuwait Petroleum International Lubricants organisation.

With world class scientific equipment and a highly experienced team of chemists, Q8Oils claims it is leading the way in metalworking fluid technology. Tribology equipment such as Reichert, Falex, Coefficient of Friction and on site drilling and milling machines ensure that the products are rigorously tested in the laboratory and in field trials before being branded and introduced to the market.

The Customer Service department within the development laboratory has analytical equipment such as FTIR, Ultra Violet absorption and XRF that are essential key tools to evaluate and increase performance for all products. Q8Oils also own a major research facility in Europe which develops and expands the company's range of lubricants on an ongoing basis.

As Kevin Duncan, Q8Oils' technical and operations manager affirms, the Q8 Baroni X-Range of cutting and grinding fluids has been specifically engineered to meet the demands of modern component manufacturers and the vast range of materials machined.

The Q8 Baroni X Range has been formulated, trialled and tested in the market and guarantees high performance levels, offering the user a host of benefits such as cleanliness, low foaming characteristics as well as extended coolant and tool life.

In addition, Q8Oils is able to provide strong technical and onsite support in the form of Q-Care. This service enables managers to have staff trained in the correct use of lubricants, as well as providing advice on key environmental, health, safety and quality considerations. Q-Care also offers a dedicated business to business website featuring concise information on lubricants management.
