The managing director of machine tool provider, Kingsbury, has provided his thoughts on industry confidence in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Richard Kingsbury said in his LinkedIn post: "We need confidence, not indecision and negativity. Last week we failed to close a deal with an existing customer of ours. Not because we didn’t provide the right solution. Not because we didn’t have a great product and service. Not because we didn’t offer a fantastic deal. But because our customer just didn’t have enough confidence to say yes.

“Every day we are bombarded with negative messages around this pandemic. It is little wonder there is no confidence. We will get through this together. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

“But we need greater positivity from our media and our government, so all of us have the confidence to say yes!

“What are your views about the confidence in our sector? Have you had a similar experience? I would be interested to know your views on this.”
