New range, new website

Microprecision has launched a new website to support sales of its new range of high precision, cost-effective CNC gear production machines from S&T Dynamics.

Hemel Hempstead-based Microprecision has launched a new website to support sales of its new range of high precision, cost-effective CNC gear production machines from S&T Dynamics.

The new site provides comprehensive specification and description information on the entire range of gear production machines which includes hobbers, shapers, shavers, deburrers and associated accessories. Microprecision's faith in the capabilities of the range is reflected in the fact that it uses a number of S&T machines in its own 20,000ft² manufacturing facility. Visitors to the site can observe the machines in action, plus hear directly from Microprecision's managing director, Terry Grubb on why he chose to purchase the machines and how to get the best from them on a day to day basis.

Before making the decision to act as exclusive distributor and invest in the new site, Microprecision made sure the machines could meet the demands of the aerospace industry, producing consistently accurate results with minimal set-up times and easy to use controls. Microprecision's production engineer Steve Walker provides a video overview of the machines viewable from the homepage.

“A good, comprehensive website is essential to doing business today and we have provided a thorough overview of the machines including video and application information,” Mr Grubb explained. “Nothing beats seeing the machines in action and talking to the engineers that use them, so the website is a good place to start before potential customers arrange an appointment to see a live demo – particularly for the gear hobbing machines that we have here at the company headquarters in Hemel Hempstead.”

There are two GHO-200 hobbing machines installed at Microprecision in constant use which are available for inspection and machining trials. “Having the two machines in operation in the UK means that any prospective purchasers can draw on firsthand experience on set-up and operating procedures, plus have the capacity to subcontract work and train operators on the machines before new machines are delivered onsite,” Mr Grubb concluded. “This will enable a smooth changeover and ensure any purchaser is up and running quickly – with the ability to ramp up production progressively.”
