Open house success for Trumpf

In mid-July, Trumpf once again opened its doors to customers to showcase the latest machine tool and laser technology solutions.

The open house proved that there really is no substitute for meeting customers face to face. The company was delighted with the attendance figures. A total of 170 visitors were welcomed over the two days and the feedback has been very positive with many customers taking the time to compliment the host. Several orders were taken during the event

During the day visitors had the opportunity to choose among various sessions to discuss specific topics. The highlights included EdgeLine Bevel for automatically creating chamfers while laser cutting, automated welding and the latest sheetmetal software developments with Trumpf Oseon.

Oseon is a comprehensive production and material flow control solution which combines production control of the sheetmetal process chain with the benefits of a logistics system. It integrates facilities with automation and systems, ensuring a seamless information flow along the entire production chain.

There was prime opportunity to see the latest laser cutting, punching, welding, bending and laser marking technology live in action with technical experts on hand to talk face to face with customers.

John Roche, national sales manager at Trumpf commented: “The Trumpf 2023 open house was a very successful event with a high number of attendees – this was particularly encouraging bearing in mind we had recently held Technology Days dedicated to specific processes.

“There were many unexpected customer conversions regarding the latest sheetmetal technologies and welding and 3D printing. It was clear from these discussions that interest is increasing for all types of automated solutions.

“We’re very much looking forward to welcoming our customers to the 2024 event which will be combined with Trumpf’s 50th anniversary celebrations.”
