A partnership for high quality parts

CAD/CAM expert Tebis has partnered with two big names within the UK manufacturing industry, Seco Tools and the Engineering Technology Group (ETG) for this year's MACH show.

Alongside previews of its new version 4.0 software there will be a Quaser MV184P 3-axis CNC machine supplied by ETG with tooling by Seco Tools.

The Tebis software which features a new user friendly interface, more efficient design processes and an expanded automation process for NC programming will be exhibited at the show in Hall 4 and the Tebis UK team will be on hand to demonstrate its complete range of CAD/CAM solutions for all types and size of business.

Working in partnership with ETG and Seco Tools, the Quaser machine will cut parts for demonstration. For the first time internationally, Tebis will be presenting its high performance adaptive roughing and re-machining strategies live on the machine tool.

David Magnall, Seco Tools’ OEM project manager comments: “Engineered for productivity, the Seco JS554-2C solid carbide end mill has been developed to work hand in hand with advanced roughing CAD/CAM software and to run high radial engagement whilst utilising its full 2.5xD cutting length and chip-splitting technology at optimised feed rates.

“With the right cutting tool, machine and CAD/CAM software, high feed machining can produce metal removal rates that are significantly higher than conventional methods. Seco’s high feed milling range is the top choice in high feed machining, and in collaboration with Tebis and ETG even more so.”

Phil Smith, applications engineer at Tebis adds: “We are excited to be partnering with ETG and Seco at MACH in order to demonstrate the capabilities of the Tebis software. It is the first time we have had a machine tool on our stand and we are looking forward to being able to show people the high quality parts Tebis can produce.”

With a clean, modern and powerful easy to use graphical user interface, Tebis is designed to provide a single environment for all manufacturing needs: 2-to 5-axis milling, turning, turn-mill, mill-turn, 5- axis trimming, 5-axis laser cutting, 5-axis waterjet cutting, robot offline programming, electrode manufacture, and wire EDM.

The company has provided process automated CAD/CAM solutions for more than 30 years to industries as diverse as automotive, aerospace, model mould and die tooling manufacturers, oil and gas, marine, consumer products and medical engineering parts.
