Supporting role

Neuteq Europe has launched a specialist CNC Support Centre to offer Fanuc retrofits, commissioning and aftersales support.

Neuteq Europe, manufacturer of specialist machine tools and microfinishing machines, has launched a specialist CNC Support Centre to offer Fanuc retrofits, commissioning and aftersales support, as well as service and training on Fanuc controlled machine tools.

Tamworth-based Neuteq has secured the services of three former Fanuc GE UK personnel who will manage the key elements of the Neuteq CNC Support Centre – Fanuc control retrofit packages, training courses, service and repairs, and full operating and programming support to maximise a machine's potential and minimise system downtime.

The Neuteq CNC Support Centre is headed up by Ian Warren – formerly product services manager at Fanuc GE – as product business manager; with Tim Austin – ex hotline and technical supervisor at Fanuc GE – as support centre manager responsible for service; and Ben Groves - ex programming specialist at Fanuc GE – as the applications manager responsible for operating and programming support, as well as courses, either at Tamworth or at a customer's premises, for Fanuc ISO, macro and manual guide i programming, CNC service and maintenance.

Steve Kerr, operations director at Neuteq Europe, explained: “We will concentrate on using our technical knowledge to give extensive support on Fanuc retrofits and controls. Being independent from the machine builder allows us to support any machine tool with a Fanuc control or to retrofit any existing make of control with the latest Fanuc technology.”

Ian Warren added: “I doubt if there is another company outside of Fanuc in the UK that can offer the up to date knowledge and skills that Neuteq now offers. We can offer different levels of retrofit to suit all applications and budgets.”
