A formula for expert metrology – MACH 2022

Theres a lot to be excited about at this years MACH exhibition, with Zeiss partnering on-stand with GOM, a Zeiss Group company specialising in industrial 3D coordinate measuring technology, giving visitors an opportunity to take advantage of a one-stop shop for all their metrology needs.

Attendees will be able to experience live demonstrations of a wide variety of Zeiss systems. From CMMs such as the brand-new Zeiss Prismo Verity and the Zeiss Visioner 1 industrial microscope, through to the Zeiss Metrotom 6 Scout CT system and the latest suite of Zeiss and GOM software platforms – all will showcase how Zeiss continues to push boundaries in the world of measurement and inspection with futureproof quality assurance solutions.

The Zeiss stand itself this year will feature dedicated Application Zones, each demonstrating how the company’s measurement and inspection solutions can be transformative in key sectors such as eMobility, where innovations in electric vehicle manufacturing are generating new measurement tasks and initiating a paradigm shift in quality inspection. By working closely with the automotive industry, Zeiss is experienced in developing new testing, inspection, and metrology concepts for electric vehicle components and car body solutions.

Another sector benefiting from Zeiss technology is aerospace. Quality management in aviation is essential to increase the safety of aircraft, helicopters and spacecraft. With complex products and complicated manufacturing processes, manufacturers need to be confident that they comply with all industry standards. Certified to ISO 9001:2015 and DIN ISO 17025, measuring solutions from Zeiss provide precise component geometries and material characteristics to meet exacting industry standards.

When it comes to medical devices, with stringent regulatory requirements, Zeiss understands the challenges in the industry and can help its customers overcome the hurdles of regulation, such as DIN EN ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 11. Zeiss’ connected quality assurance portfolio offers tailored hardware and software solutions, which support industry standards and work as a coherent system.

Partnership with Williams Racing

As the MACH 2022 exhibition will be taking place just over a year after the first anniversary of Zeiss’ winning partnership with Williams Racing, there will be a number of exciting opportunities for visitors to get closer to this world-class racing team.

Attendees at MACH will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with last year’s Williams Racing Formula One car, which can be found in the Education and Development Zone in Hall 17.

Zeiss is also pleased to announce that James Colgate, operations director at Williams Racing will be giving a talk on Tuesday 5th April from 12:00-12:30, on the seminar theatre stage. The session will demonstrate how deployment of next generation metrology technology can speed up delivery of part to the track, whilst capturing vital quality data for investigation and analysis to take advantage of future performance opportunities.

Finally, visitors to the Zeiss stand itself will have the ability to watch live inspections of Formula One car components, as well as a chance to win an Experience Day at Williams Racing.
